Dispensing Pharmacy Manager

The Pharmacy Manager monitors all financial, operational, professional, and clinical activities of the assigned in-house dispensing pharmacy. The pharmacy Manager will oversee all hiring, firing and evaluation of assigned pharmacy staff. The Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for administrative duties and provision of pharmaceutical care as well as overseeing the prescription dispensing services for the in-house pharmacy.   

Essential job duties:

  • Ensures the pharmacy operates in compliance with all applicable state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Monitors and ensures financial profitability and sustainability of dispensing pharmacy services program
  • Determines and reports out Key Productivity Metrics (KPIs) monthly using Dashboards
  • Implements policies and procedures that ensure the pharmacy department provides optimal pharmaceutical services that meet all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements.
  • Provides regular Quality Assurance of dispensing pharmacy programs and staff.
  • Provides medication dispensing services.
  • Provides immunization consultation and administration as needed

Education and experience:

  • This position requires a Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm D) from an accredited institution.
  • At least five to eight years’ experience of dispensing and/or ambulatory pharmacy practice is required.
  • At least two years of supervisory pharmacy experience is preferred.
