Community organizations to host free teen health expo in downtown Hillsboro

June 27, 2023 – PORTLAND, OREGON – Neighborhood Health Center (NHC) and Washington County are hosting their annual community Teen Health Expo in downtown Hillsboro on Tuesday, July 11 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Teen Health Expo will offer healthcare services, community resources, job opportunities, food, and giveaways from local organizations and be held in front of NHC Hillsboro Reproductive Health Clinic at 266 W. Main Street in Hillsboro.

“We want to assure teens and young adults that they can receive safe, nonjudgmental care and give them the opportunity to talk to the people providing their care and services,” said Kristen Weidner-Nguyen, NHC’s School-Based Health Center and Reproductive and Sexual Health Program Manager.

“The Teen Health Expo will make these services and care more accessible to the people who need them,” Weidner-Nguyen added.

Year-round, teens have access to NHC’s teen walk-in clinic held every Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Hillsboro location. Those ages 24 and under can receive confidential, low or no-cost reproductive healthcare services regardless of insurance or ability to pay.

The teen walk-in clinic offers sexual health information, birth control, testing for pregnancy, and sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment.
