Dental Care for Urgent Issues

We're here for your dental emergency.

Sudden tooth pain? Bleeding that won't stop? We're here to help, no matter your insurance, and no matter your ability to pay.

You do not have to be an NHC patient to get care. Anyone in our community can call for an emergency dental visit.

What is a dental emergency?

Call us right away if you have:

  • Bleeding that doesn't stop
  • Sudden swelling in your mouth or gums
  • Severe tooth or gum pain
  • A broken tooth
  • Follow-up care after dental surgery

Facial injury, trouble breathing or swallowing, or swelling spreading to your eye or neck? These need emergency room care right away. Please go to the nearest ER or call 911.

What is NOT a dental emergency?

Some dental care is important, but it can wait for a regular visit. This includes:

  • Exams and cleanings
  • X-rays
  • Braces
  • Cavities that don't hurt
  • Removing a tooth that isn't painful
