The Impact We've Made in 15 Years
Our Patients
Since opening in 2010, NHC has served
- 52,866 primary care patients
- 56,239 dental patients
- 41,162 behavioral health patients
- 2,754 SBHC patients
- 3,474 community dental patients
in over 674,000 appointments.
Our Care
Our first clinic opened in Aloha, providing medical care to our initial 2,500 patients.
- In early 2016, NHC took over its first SBHC at Merlo Campus School.
- In May 2018, we began offering OHP enrollment assistance.
- In early 2021, Hunziker Pharmacy, now Canby Pharmacy, opened and began prescription services services.
Our Staff
NHC began with a team of 35 staff and has grown to over 270 and counting. Since then, we've
- Had 9 executive leaders in total, including James Schroeder, now President and CEO of Cascadia Health
- Provided staff over $35,000 in education reimbursement and over $60,000 in wellness reimbursement

When Maribel first stepped through the doors of NHC in 2012, she had no idea she was beginning a career that would span over a decade and lead her to a position helping to shape the organization's future.

When Jorge joined Neighborhood Health Center (NHC) in 2013, he brought with him more than clinical skills. Over the next decade, his passion for community, deep-rooted dedication to patient care, and eagerness to grow guided Jorge in his career choices — and his decision to stay with NHC.
Making a Difference Every Step of the Way: Gricelda’s Career Growth at NHC
Gricelda joined NHC in early 2015, as a temporary employee at the front desk of our Tanasbourne location. She had no previous experience in the medical field — only a strong desire to work in healthcare and help others, especially Spanish-speaking patients like her own family.
