We're Here to Help You with Health Insurance

Dealing with health insurance can feel confusing. Whether you need to sign up for the first time, renew your coverage, or learn about your options, NHC's Membership and Engagement Services (MES) team is here to help. Our services are free and open to everyone in our community. You do not have to be an NHC patient to get help.

We Can Help You With

  • Applying for the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) for the first time
  • Renewing or updating your OHP coverage
  • Changing your health or dental plan, or your Coordinated Care Organization (CCO)
  • Reporting other insurance you may have
  • Connecting you to premium assistance programs
  • Choosing a primary care or dental provider
  • Connecting to Medicare resources if you are 65 or older
  • Finding out if you qualify for coverage through the Oregon Health Insurance Marketplace

Our team is specially trained to help you navigate health insurance. They know the OHP system well and are here to make the process as easy as possible for you.

Changes Are Coming to OHP

OHP coverage rules are changing. These changes may affect when and how often you need to renew your coverage. If OHP cannot reach you, you could lose your coverage (even if you still qualify). 

Here is what you can do right now: 

  • Make sure your mailing address, phone number, and email are up to date with OHP 
  • Check your mail for letters from OHP 
  • Respond quickly if OHP contacts you
