NHC Advocates for Community Health in DC
In February, NHC leaders traveled to Washington, D.C., to advocate for continued investment in Community Health Centers (CHCs).
CHCs like NHC care for 1 in 7 people nationwide, including children, seniors, and families who rely on Medicaid or have limited resources. Even with this reach, CHCs account for just 1% of total U.S. healthcare spending, proving that community-based care delivers real impact with remarkable efficiency.
Advocacy helps protect public funding, but it’s donors like you who make the difference when patients need extra support, including transportation to appointments, medications, emergency assistance, or care during life’s most vulnerable moments. Your generosity fills the gaps that policy alone can’t.
