Per Diem Provider
This position is responsible for providing professional, comprehensive primary medical care and treatment services with emphasis on prevention of disease, and promotion of health.
Essential Job Duties
- Provides patients with medical assessments and treatments pertaining to physical and mental health.
- Orders and interprets medical labs and diagnostic imaging for patients.
- Refers patients to appropriate specialists as needed.
- Prescribes pharmaceuticals and treatments for assessed medical conditions.
- Performs minor procedures as qualified.
- Provides accurate, timely, and complete documentation in patient records following Neighborhood Health Center coding standards.
- Displays sensitivity to the populations served.
- Contributes professional medical expertise to other medical and mental health professionals and clinical support staff.
- Provides oversight of support staff with respect to individual patient management.
- Participates in team huddles to review the schedule at the start of the clinic day.
- Participates in process and quality improvement workflows.
- Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
- Attends required meetings and in-services and participates in committees as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Doctoral degree (MD/DO) or equivalent from an accredited school of medicine is required.
- Completion of Family Practice Residency with at least two years related experience and/or training preferred.
- Experience working with underserved populations in a community health center preferred.
- This position requires an active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon.
- Must have an active DEA license.
- BLS certification is required.
- Must be able to provide all necessary documentation for Oregon credentialing.
