Web Accessibility Statement

Neighborhood Health Center (NHC) believes everyone should have access to healthcare. That includes access to the information and tools that support their care.

Accessibility is ongoing work. We are always looking for ways to improve.

NHC is committed to providing accessible digital content and services consistent with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as a framework to guide our accessibility efforts and continuously evaluate opportunities for improvement.

How NHC Supports Accessibility

NHC takes steps to make our website and services more accessible. These steps include

  • Regular web accessibility discussions and long-term planning for technology improvements.
  • Periodically reviewing website content and functionality using accessibility evaluation tools and manual testing methods.
  • Tracking and/or correcting any issues we find
  • Incorporating accessibility into NHC policies and procedures
  • Maintaining compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Health and Human Services (HHS) Office for Civil Rights accessibility requirements.

As We Continue to Make Improvements

  • We are developing accessibility training for staff
  • We are creating accessibility checklists for communications and select processes
  • We are checking to see which technology partners do not meet accessibility standards

NHC does not control the accessibility features or functionality of third-party applications and services. If you encounter difficulty using third-party content or tools, please contact us so we can assist you.
