Free health services and community resources at Neighborhood Health Center’s 9th Annual Community Health Fair in Hillsboro
PORTLAND, Ore., July 31, 2024 – Community members can receive free vision and dental screenings, community resources, Oregon Health Plan (OHP) enrollment assistance, and more at Neighborhood Health Center’s (NHC’s) 9th Annual Community Health Fair in Hillsboro on Saturday, August 10.
This free public event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of their NHC Tanasbourne Medical & Dental Clinic at the Providence Tanasbourne Health Center at 10690 NE Cornell Rd. in Hillsboro. More than 25 community partners will be joining the event to provide car seat safety checks, blood pressure checks, spinal screenings, and more to community members.
“As part of NHC’s mission to meet our patients where they are, this health fair brings together organizations around Portland to celebrate the power connectivity and community play in transforming people’s health,” explained Jeri Weeks, NHC’s Chief Executive Officer.
“As the needs of our community grow, so does our health fair. We look forward to welcoming the community to our ninth Annual Health Fair and in doing so provide the care and resources our community deserves,” Weeks added.
Weeks noted that attendees who visit each booth and complete a stamp card will also receive a free box of fresh produce from Mudbone Grown, a locally owned farm co-op, and a loaf of bread donated by Dave’s Killer Bread.
This free public event is sponsored by CareOregon, TriMet, Kaiser Permanente, The Standard Insurance, and Dave’s Killer Bread. OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, an NHC health fair partner, will be providing car seat safety checks.
