Neighborhood Health Center Welcomes New Director of Risk and Compliance

PORTLAND, Ore., November 27, 2023 – Neighborhood Health Center (NHC) recently welcomed a new Director of Risk and Compliance to its Director Leadership Team.

NHC is a non-profit Community Health Center that provides medical, dental, reproductive, and behavioral health services to Medicaid, Medicare, and uninsured patients in the Portland Metro area.

Annmarie Dennis, CHC, MBA joins NHC as Director of Risk and Compliance.  She will oversee the Risk and Compliance department which drives the organization’s culture of safety and compliance.  This department’s growth strengthens NHC’s ability to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Dennis joins NHC from Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center in Hillsboro, where she was the Corporate Compliance Officer.  She has over 25 years of experience in corporate compliance, with almost 15 of those years in healthcare compliance.

“We are delighted to have Annmarie join the team and bring her extensive knowledge of compliance and risk management to our organization’s leadership,” says Jeri Weeks, Chief Executive Officer at NHC.  “Her vast experience in the field will help carry NHC’s Risk and Compliance department forward through unprecedented organizational growth.”

Dennis received her Master of Business Administration with a Leadership Focus from Ellis College at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) and holds a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Corporate Compliance from The George Washington University.  She is certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) by the Health Care Compliance Association.
