Neighborhood Health Center Welcomes New Directors During Organizational Expansion

PORTLAND, Ore., October 9, 2024 – Neighborhood Health Center (NHC) recently welcomed two new directors to its Director Leadership Team, reflecting the expansion of skill and administrative support necessary for clinic growth.

NHC is a non-profit Community Health Center that provides medical, dental, reproductive, and behavioral health services to Medicaid, Medicare, and uninsured patients in the Portland Metro area.

Alyssa Martinez, PMP joins NHC as Director of Facilities.  She will provide oversight for clinic construction and building management, including facilities projects and facility vendor relationships.  The addition of this new role comes at a crucial time in NHC’s development, as new clinics are acquired, and clinics grow to accommodate the needs of the communities NHC serves.

Martinez joins NHC from the private construction industry, where she has over nine years of experience providing project and IT management.  She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon and obtained her Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute.

“The Director of Facilities position was created in response to the need for dedicated facility leadership as we expand our clinics,” says Blain A. West, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at NHC.  “Alyssa’s extensive background in project management, as well as her leadership and guidance will ensure our clinics grow efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of the communities we serve.”

Trenton Harris joins NHC as Director of Information Technology.  He will provide leadership to the growing Information Technology department, as services continue to move in-house to support clinical and administrative technological progress.

Harris joins NHC from Enloe Health in Chico, CA.  He has almost thirty years of experience in software application development and technical support.  He received his Bachelor of Science from California State University, Chico.

“Trent’s experience during this period will be a great asset to NHC and our patients,” says West.  “With the growing need for expanded cybersecurity in healthcare organizations, we welcome Trent’s leadership and guidance to ensure our organization stays on top of the latest trends and security solutions.”
