Program Highlight: Helping Patients Access Life-Saving Medications

Did you know that Neighborhood Health Center has a special fund dedicated to helping patients afford their prescriptions?

For many of the individuals and families we serve, the cost of medication can be a significant barrier to good health. Even with access to quality healthcare, patients may struggle to fill prescriptions that help manage chronic conditions and prevent serious health complications. That's why NHC created the Neighbors Assistance Fund (NAF).

The Pharmacy NAF supports low-income, medically high-risk patients, including those living with diabetes, asthma, heart disease, and mental health conditions. By helping cover the cost of essential medications, the fund ensures patients can follow their treatment plans, maintain their health, and avoid unnecessary emergency room visits or hospitalizations.

The NAF helps remove one more barrier between patients and the care they need to thrive.

Because of generous supporters, patients who might otherwise go without critical medications can receive the treatment they need to live healthier lives.
